Movers and Shakers

The City of London is adorned with many monuments, plaques and statues which are easily walked past unnoticed but have fascinating tales to tell.  The good, the bad and the courageous all have a permanent place on the streets of The City.  Walk among monuments of the movers and shakers who created The City’s rich heritage and hear stories of their past worthy come to life.

At Sixes and Sevens

People following the same craft began making arrangements amongst themselves for regulating competition and keeping professional standards high within their trade.  The development of Livery Companies played an important role in the structure of The City Corporation.  This walk tells the story of the creation of craft guilds and the history of the Livery Companies.
